Our objective
The objective of this website is to provide users with a how2vote card that accurately matches their views.
Maintaining the integrity of the results is crucial, which is why we rely on verifiable data from the official parliamentary record to position candidates on issues, rather than rely on their public statements. This is what makes this tool unique, and we explain our entire methodology for doing so on our Methodology page.
The problem
Because we rely on data from the official parliamentary record, candidates who have never had parliamentary representation are naturally excluded.
This works against our overall objective of providing users with a meangingful how2vote card, since there may be parties and independents with whom they would have matched, but for the fact they have so far never been elected.
The solution
In order to improve the accuracy of how2vote card representation for previously unelected candidates, these candidates may submit their answers to the poll so that their scores can be determined.
In order to maintain the integrity of our how2vote cards and the fact that we prefer to rely on verifiable parliamentary data to generate them, candidates whose data has been submitted in this way are noted on the how2vote cards. We will also maintain a list below.
Candidates who wish to be added to our how2vote card data should contact us via our contact page and provide a way to reach them.
